We’re sorry to share that Rail Fest 2026, scheduled for Saturday, September 26th, has been cancelled due to the forecast for heavy rain and strong winds.

Because of our location near the coast, the weather creates safety concerns including potential flooding of the grounds and the possibility of high winds affecting event tents and equipment. The safety of our visitors, vendors, volunteers, and staff must come first.

We know many of you were looking forward to Rail Fest, and we are incredibly disappointed that we won’t be able to celebrate with our community this weekend. A great deal of planning and preparation went into this year’s event, and we are grateful to everyone who contributed their time and effort.

We’ll take what we’ve learned from this experience as we look ahead to next year. Thank you for your understanding and continued support of the Oyster Bay Railroad Museum.

Please note: The Historic Station Building will be OPEN and the Rail Display Yard will be CLOSED on Saturday, September 26th.
